Diala Kashmar

Born in 1979, Lebanese actress and documentary filmmaker Diala Kashmar lives and works in Beirut. She acquired a BA in Dramatic Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts, Lebanese University. Diala has featured in main roles in a number of films, has participated in acting workshops in foreign countries, and has appeared as actress and dancer in several plays, which toured to international festivals. Since 2005 she has worked extensively on directing and writing documentary films.

Trip tease addresses a phenomenon that has materialized from fear, injustice and a collective complex of discrimination. It had a dramatic impact on the Lebanese population despite the fact that many deny it, trying to forget it by turning the page of the civil war, while other persevere in their fight for surviving and asserting their existence.
